A self-portrait.
My name is Marie, I live in Vordingborg, with my mother: Helle, father: Erik, little brother: Emil and my cat, Pippi. From my home,
it is about 5 minutes’ walk to school. I’m 17 years old and my birthday is in April. At school I have chosen the music line, with 17 other students. I have chosen this line, because I love music, it’s a big part of my life. My favourite subjects are history, music, biology and Spanish. In my spare time; I do a lot of homework, and I love to read books, I can read a book like a thousand times before I get tired of it. I love listening to music, and my favourite band is “The Cranberries”. I just love them and their music, it’s just fantastic. I also sing in the church, which I have been doing for 5 or 6 years, we practise on Fridays, and on Sundays there are services. One week before Christmas, and one Sunday in April, I sing with the choir, at a concert in the church. In September I start to play the piano, I can play a little, but it’s not that much. In the weekends I am together with my boyfriend, his name is Jesper and he is 18 years old, he lives in a town called Holeby, which is about 40 km. away from me. Jesper has been my boyfriend for almost 18 months. I have already been an exchange student, for a week, it was in Italy and it was just such great fun. You learn how to behave around people you don’t know, learn something about their school system, learn something about their culture and how a normal day is for them. These things I hope to get out of this exchange programme, I’m looking forward to it.
