Writing a portrait is harder than I thought.
Hello, my name is Jeppe Damkjær Hybschmann, I am 18 years old. I live a bit far out in the countryside at an old farm on a small cozy island called Bogø. On Bogø there are a lot of farms and cows, but I don’t think that there is anything interesting to say about that really, so I will continue in another direction. I have a lot of interests, but my greatest interest is music. To hear it, to perform it, to experience it and just to be with it – to live in and with the feeling of music. I have a musician’s background with a family full of talent and passion for music. During my childhood I have been influenced quite a lot by my parents, my mother even played live in bands while she was expecting me. During the last few years I have been taking music more seriously. I even spent a whole year at a professional music school, before I started at Vordingborg Gymnasium. I like listening to a lot of music, but my favorites are Jazz (cool-Jazz in particular), classical (especially modern classical music), Rock music, funk, blues and of course a lot of other genres and specific artists. I myself have played in several bands, and I still do. I have played the piano for some years now and I also play guitar and practice singing. I am not really sure about what we are going to do in France, but it will probably be something music-related. You see, my class, 2. M, is a music class and sometimes we make a lot of noise and play a lot of music, but I don’t really know if that is relevant at all. Of course I also like to spend time with my friends, going out and having parties and all these odd things you do with your mates. I myself have been in France a lot of times. As you probably know; France is a very popular location if you are a Dane and you are going on holiday. My holidays in France have been very nice, I really think that it is an amazing country you live in; the nature, the cities and just your culture is very fascinating. I am looking forward to meeting you and seeing France, and I am confident that our exchange will be very nice. Yours- Jeppe
