Hello. My name is Ditte, and I'm 17 years old. I'm a student at Vordingborg High School. My class is called 2.m. It's a very nice class, we always have lots of fun. I'm going to have French for three years. I have chosen French because it's a beautiful language and I like French culture. I'm also going to have social science for three years. I love discussing politics, I find it very exciting. My political point of view is socialism. Besides that I'm also going to have English, History and Danish as my main subjects. Vordingborg High School is a really great school, with lots of fun and sweet people. I don't live in Vordingborg city, but in a small town called Langebæk. It's about 15 km from Vordingborg, so I have to take the bus to school every day. It takes about 25 min. I live in the country on a small farm, with my mother and father. We have two cats (they are mine), two dogs, and a lot of birds. We have a pretty big property. I have a brother and a sister, but they don't live at home anymore. My brother is a student at a university called RUC, I rarely see him because he's so busy. My sister lives with her husband and three children in Copenhagen. I adore my nieces and my nephew, so sometimes I visit them in Copenhagen for a weekend, to play with them. When I'm not in school or doing my homework, I'm with my friends. Often we just sit and talk at a café, or go shopping. It's always a nice thing to be with my friends. On Saturdays I work at a florist's shop. Sometimes I also play tennis with a friend from my class, we’ve just started, so we're still not so good at it. Actually we're really bad, but hopefully that will change. I often do things like painting, going for a short walk and reading books to relax. I love reading good books and right now I'm actually reading Lord of the Rings. I love music, and I'm listening to it all the time. I guess that my favourite genre is punk/rock, but it mostly depends on what mood I'm in. I also play piano, and get piano lessons once a week. I'm looking forward to the exchange, and I think it's going to be fun. I definitely hope I will make some friends. Yours sincerely, Ditte 2.m
