Welcome to my portrait. (Christine Hvidt Grønborg) As I’m writing my portrait I’m sitting on the floor in my room, which is entirely covered by a carpet, so it’s quite comfortable to sit on. I’ve got my own lovely room on the second floor of a lovely big house near a very long road which leads me anywhere I want to go. Unfortunately I haven’t got that much time to explore the places off my road. I go to the same places week after week, month after month and so on. These places are many, though, but the places I go to most frequently are the school (to get an education), STARS (which is the place I work at), the music school (to learn how to play guitar properly), and at friends' (trying to be social). Another thing I like to explore is the music selection at the library, which has a lot to offer, (jazz, pop, rock, opera, classical, blues ect.) and as I like most of it, but opera, there is a lot to listen to. I’ve got a younger sister, whom I appreciate a lot. We’ve got a lot in common, so it’s easy to live with her, but she is taller than me, which makes it hard to be the big sister sometimes. It doesn’t happen that we fight often. If I fight with anybody in my family it would be my mother or my cat, but that’s very unusual. At school I’m in the class with music and English on the highest level. We are many students in the class, so it’s quite noisy, but also quite fun. The class are separated in two lines, a French one with French on the highest level, and then the music line. So one of my big interests is music, which I listen to almost all the time. I sing, play the guitar and the piano, and I make music myself. My other passion is art, or to be more exact drawing. Some day I would really like to make a living from it for a short period, or a longer one. Just a period with a beginning and an end. I’m learning to speak French, so I hope to get to say a word or two in the week we will be in France, or maybe to have a whole conversation. That would be fantastic to experience in a French environment. In the end of the week, at night, when it begins getting dark I like to have a nice time with my friends. We might go to a party at school or to private parties, or we might just go to a café or to a concert at the music club STARS in town. As I live in Vordingborg, which a small town placed far away from the capital, I don’t go there often unless there is an occasion such as shopping for clothes or music, family visiting or if there’s a great band playing at the music venues. To give you some information about me I’m 17 years old, 166 cm (my sister’s 168 cm), and I’m getting tired of sitting at the floor, but I’m looking forward to going to France. |
