Christian ScharlingMy name is, as it says, Christian and I am a 16 year old boy. I live in a small village outside of Vordingborg, which is called Nyraad. There is a short 3 km ride to Vordingborg from here. I go there by bike. Nyraad is a nice quiet place. I don’t have any biological brothers or sisters. I live here with my mom, her boyfriend, and his son, who is at boarding school this year, so you won’t see a lot of him. I also want to mention that my real biological father died 11 years ago of cancer. I feel that I should tell you this because every time I speak with somebody and this “subject” is brought up, I always kill the conversation by saying he is dead. Then people don’t want to say anything because they are afraid of hurting me. But don’t be. Well, in spite of that, I spend my day going to school, doing my homework, being with friends and all of that. I don’t do any sports except that I go by bike to school. But you can’t really call this a sport. But I am always up for a walk if the weather is nice. I play music and sing. The singing part is in a band together with some of my friends from the class. We haven’t written our own music, but it is coming some day. I just started taking singing lessons. I also play drums and just a bit of piano. When it comes to my taste in music I mostly listen to hip hop. I am a happy boy. I am single at this moment. I chose the line with music as a major subject. However, I still have French as a second language. Our class is actually split in two. A French part and a music part. Our, the music part, is the biggest part with about 18-20 students. The rest is the girls who chose French. This makes us about 30 students in the class. Before the summer vacation we were 32, however some dropped out. Our class proudly became “the class of the year” last year and you will probably notice why. We are all pretty good friends and have a laugh every day.I am to mention that I hope to get some knowledge about how life is outside Denmark. A different school system and everyday life is what I expect. I am looking forward to seeing you guys in October. |
